He has been describes as “so handsome” and “so cool.” He has jokes you’ll see. \nRashika Jaipuriar is a journalist turned stand-up comedian based in Cincinnati\, Ohio. Her debut novel “First Time\, Long Time” is forthcoming from Grand Central Publishing in 2024. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing and Literature at the University of Southern California\, where she teaches. \nHer work has appeared in The Paris Review\, The New Yorker\, The New York Times\, TriQuarterly\, The Southern Review\, The Los Angeles Review of Books\, and many other publications. Her short story “Suburbia!” appeared in Best American Short Stories\, and is currently optioned for a tv show. Amy also writes for television\, most recently “The Movie Show” on the SYFY Channel. \nAmy’s stand-up comedy has been featured on Comedy Central\, Hulu\, NPR\, and Amazon Prime. She was selected as a “New Face” at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. \nBy blending personal experiences with short jokes and one-liners\, Lena Beamish is able to connect with the audience in spite of being – in her own words – “fundamentally weird”. Her credits include Sirius XM\, Don’t Tell Comedy\, and Cincy Brew Ha-Ha\, as well as placing 3rd in Louisville’s Funniest Person\, 3 years in a row. \nWhen not onstage\, Lena can be found drawing\, writing music\, and making friends with every cat she meets. \n \nChris Siemer has affectionately been described as the Midwest’s most endearing moral degenerate\, but if you ask him\, he’s just misunderstood. In addition to stand-up comedy\, Roy is a prolific musician\, currently the lead singer of SPELLS. \nJoe Shelby is an author\, actor\, and stand-up comedian who got his start at Go Bananas Comedy Club in 2004. A year after his big start\, he braved the cold winds of Chicago to study improv at places such as: The Second City\, iO\, The Annoyance Theater and Columbia College Chicago\, where he majored in acting. DESCRIPTION:The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars (CBAS) assembled in 1996 as the Sunday night house band at The Comet. Since that time the popularity of the band has grown beyond the Comet lounge\, opening for such national acts as Sam Bush\, Blue Highway\, Del McCoury\, Peter Rowan and Ricky Skaggs. \nThe Sunday night Bluegrass sessions at the Comet are informal and known to draw a diverse\, “listening” audience\, from small children to senior citizens. Those attending the shows find each member of the band accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists in their own right\, with the live combination of these players presenting an even greater sum than its parts\, through amazing musical interplay and high lonesome bluegrass harmony.

For the last few years\, he has been a favorite in club and indie rooms alike. \nDwight has been selected to comedy festivals such as Limestone\, Memphis\, Crom and many others. Most recently\, Dwight has been heard on Kevin Hart’s LOL Network and on the Bob and Tom show. In 2015\, his self produced debut album\, Pacifist Aggressive reached #1 on the iTunes charts. An avid writer and beer drinker\, he contributes regularly to craftbeer.com and produces a traveling web-series called BrewTube Comedy. \nNick Higdon began performing standup in Louisville in 2020 after months of boredom from being locked inside during the pandemic. He moved to Cincinnati a year later to work on his craft and has steadily found his place in the scene. He regularly hosts at Go Bananas here in Cincy and has opened for national talents such as Jeremiah Watkins\, Sean Patton\, and Steve Byrne. \nSpencer Eddingfield is a Cincinnati based standup comedian who has performed at clubs and bars throughout the Midwest. Known for his deadpan delivery and a facade that suggests he has his life together. \nJason Winkler\, an unofficial sandwich connoisseur raised just south of the Queen City\, in the commonwealth of Kentucky. Since that time the popularity of the band has grown beyond the Comet lounge\, opening for such national acts as Sam Bush\, Blue Highway\, Del McCoury\, Peter Rowan and Ricky Skaggs. \nThe Sunday night Bluegrass sessions at the Comet are informal and known to draw a diverse\, “listening” audience\, from small children to senior citizens. Those attending the shows find each member of the band accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists in their own right\, with the live combination of these players presenting an even greater sum than its parts\, through amazing musical interplay and high lonesome bluegrass harmony.
