Since that time the popularity of the band has grown beyond the Comet lounge\, opening for such national acts as Sam Bush\, Blue Highway\, Del McCoury\, Peter Rowan and Ricky Skaggs. \nThe Sunday night Bluegrass sessions at the Comet are informal and known to draw a diverse\, “listening” audience\, from small children to senior citizens. Born in Cincinnati\, she moved to Chicago and began studying and performing various types of comedy. Laura is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory. For the last decade and half\, her focus has been on stand up comedy. Laura co-produces and hosts a comedy variety show in Chicago called “Keep Coming Back”\, and co-produces a stand up showcase in Evanston called “Laughs on a Hot Tin Roof”. \nThe granddaughter of Sicilian immigrants who ran Cave of the Winds\, the legendary Chicago supper club that hosted touring vaudeville acts\, Christine Ferrera creates work in performance\, video and painting that explores the intersection of art and comedy. Occupying a unique place in the span of feminist art\, her intimate stories begin with a familiar experience and gradually veer into liminal and unpredictable terrain\, revealing their emotional core. \nFerrera’s work has been presented at festivals internationally and centers around themes of feminism\, capitalism\, existential anxiety\, and self-sabotage. She has appeared on NPR’s The Story and The Signal and was a featured solo performer in the 2014 Amsterdam Fringe Festival. Ferrera has received many awards\, including a 2007 artist residency at the Sanskriti Foundation in New Delhi\, a 2013 Maryland State Arts Council Award\, a 2019 Creativity Grant and a 2020 Emergency Relief Grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. She lives and works and eats and prays and loves in Chicago\, USA. \nSpencer Domolky is a Cincinnati comedian by way of Lexington\, Kentucky. Spencer performs all over the Midwest\, delighting crowds with his dry\, yet playful stage demeanor. He is a regular at Go Bananas Comedy Club and was a finalist in the 2022 Funniest Person in Cincinnati competition. \nCaleb Nash is a former candy bar thief turned comic\, when he’s not making people laugh on stage\, you can find him slinging drinks at go bananas comedy club! He has also been accepted into multiple festivals\, including the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta and the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston. Spark is one of only a handful of comedians who have won both the amateur and professional divisions of Go Bananas Comedy Club’s prestigious Funniest Person in Cincinnati Contest in consecutive years. A proud graduate of Ohio University\, Spark constantly pushes himself to develop new material and take his game to the next level. He enjoys both video games and sugar cookies\, as should you. \n \nArielle Isaac Norman is a politically non-binary lesbian whose quick wit\, dark humor\, and satire cut right through the bullsh*t and get to the core of social\, political\, and gender issues. She is a nationally touring headliner and has also opened for Louie C.K.\, Maria Bamford\, and Tim Dillon. \nFull of risky nuance\, her 2024 debut special Ellen DeGenderless candidly explores all the hot button gender issues (pronouns\, restrooms\, sports\, transition treatments\, and detransition) as well as the cancellation of words. A native Texan and a gay\, genderfluid Mormon\, Arielle doesn’t fit in a box and doesn’t think most people really do. \nArielle was the first person from the Austin comedy scene invited to be a guest panelist on the Kill Tony show. She is a regular at Moontower\, Skankfest and SXSW and has performed at numerous other comedy festivals\, including the prestigious Limestone and Laughing Skull festivals. Arielle was a finalist in the Funniest Person in Austin contest in both 2018 and 2019 and was a headliner of the Boulder Comedy Festival in 2023. \n \nOhio’s own Sixx Sense is a multi talented entertainer from Cincinnati. He has also performed comedy at Sing Sing Correctional Facility twice and even ripped some guitar solos inside a Mexican prison a couple times too. In 2007\, Variety magazine named Dave one of their “10 Comedians to Watch\,” something he still won’t shut up about. Some things are hard to let go of. \nDave is also a musician who currently sings and plays guitar in the power pop band Valley Lodge\, whose song “Go” is the theme song to HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver\, and the psych/garage rock band Painted Doll. He was also a member of Cleveland rock bands Sons of Elvis and Cobra Verde as well as Diamondsnake\, a heavy metal band with Moby.
