DESCRIPTION:The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars (CBAS) assembled in 1996 as the Sunday night house band at The Comet. Since that time the popularity of the band has grown beyond the Comet lounge\, opening for such national acts as Sam Bush\, Blue Highway\, Del McCoury\, Peter Rowan and Ricky Skaggs. \nThe Sunday night Bluegrass sessions at the Comet are informal and known to draw a diverse\, “listening” audience\, from small children to senior citizens. Those attending the shows find each member of the band accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists in their own right\, with the live combination of these players presenting an even greater sum than its parts\, through amazing musical interplay and high lonesome bluegrass harmony.

Dave and Ismael are old old friends who love doing standup and love looking out the window. Come see two idiots at peace tell jokes. \nTheir show features long sets from both Dave and Ismael\, a short set or three from their Cincinnati friends\, and probably lots of complaining about the train. \nISMAEL LOUTFI \nIsmael Loutfi is a comedian and writer from Florida. He’s performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live\, This Week at The Comedy Cellar\, and Bill Burr’s “The Ringers.” He’s written for Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj and #1Happy Family USA on Amazon Prime. He has a Comedy Central Half Hour special on YouTube. \nDAVE ROSS \nDave Ross started doing standup in Los Angeles in 2009 and quickly established himself as a staple of the LA comedy scene. By 2013 he was touring the country\, doing festivals like SXSW\, Fest\, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival and Warped Tour. In 2016 he was a New Face at Just For Laughs in Montreal\, and in 2019 he did standup on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Drunk History\, Corporate\, This is Not Happening\, The Moth\, Risk! and WTF with Marc Maron have all featured him over the years.  At the current moment\, Dave lives in beautiful Brooklyn\, New York with his very old cat. Returning from a  two-year-long Mormon mission in the Philippines\, Bill found his voice on stage traveling the country telling jokes as he relentlessly pursued stage time.  \nIn 2008 Bill recorded and released his debut album Sarcasm Bus independently and has sold thousands of copies. In 2011 Bill teamed up with Slow Mutant Productions and filmed his one-hour comedy special Just Say Your Jokes which has over 37\,000 views on YouTube. An over the top\, loud\, and high pitched fireball of goofy energy\, he makes a compelling and charming co-host of the Cincinnati Reds focused podcast\, “The New Nasty Boys\,” which is a part of the Sports Drink Network. SUMMARY:COMET BLUEGRASS ALL-STARS
DESCRIPTION:The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars (CBAS) assembled in 1996 as the Sunday night house band at The Comet. Since that time the popularity of the band has grown beyond the Comet lounge\, opening for such national acts as Sam Bush\, Blue Highway\, Del McCoury\, Peter Rowan and Ricky Skaggs. \nThe Sunday night Bluegrass sessions at the Comet are informal and known to draw a diverse\, “listening” audience\, from small children to senior citizens. Those attending the shows find each member of the band accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists in their own right\, with the live combination of these players presenting an even greater sum than its parts\, through amazing musical interplay and high lonesome bluegrass harmony.
