DESCRIPTION:The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars (CBAS) assembled in 1996 as the Sunday night house band at The Comet. Since that time the popularity of the band has grown beyond the Comet lounge\, opening for such national acts as Sam Bush\, Blue Highway\, Del McCoury\, Peter Rowan and Ricky Skaggs. \nThe Sunday night Bluegrass sessions at the Comet are informal and known to draw a diverse\, “listening” audience\, from small children to senior citizens. Those attending the shows find each member of the band accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists in their own right\, with the live combination of these players presenting an even greater sum than its parts\, through amazing musical interplay and high lonesome bluegrass harmony.

He also once won the Preble Frog Pulls in which he caught a frog and raced it. None of that relates to comedy but the man knows how to have a good time.  \nThe self-proclaimed straightest man on earth. Na’im Ali has been a hurricane of hot takes in the Philly comedy scene since he started just over 5 years ago. He is one of the original 2 hosts of Durag and the Deertag and has been seen performing all throughout the country while opening for Shane Gillis. His wild storytelling (literally the craziest shit you’ll ever hear)\, mixed with his quick witted joke writing ability\, has put Na’im on a short list of up and coming comedians YOU NEED TO SEE before he blows up.  \nRob Crews aka “The Crews”. As he would say he is “Jewish\, but other than that pretty cool”. He is a 2023 Skankfest performer and a former Phillies Funniest Finalist. Rob was a late addition to the Durag and the Deertag team\, but he was the perfect addition. His brain only thinks about jokes and boobs\, which is an unbelievable skill to have. One of the fastest off the top performers\, along with being a great joke writer\, Rob is coming for everyone in comedy’s job.  \nConnor Twele got a 32 on his ACT but never really put the score to use in any practical fashion aside from putting it in bios. He was a finalist in the funniest of Cincinnati. He has worked with Sean Patton\, Big Jay Oakerson\, Roy Wood Jr and many more.  With his unique life experiences\, quick wit and classic joke writing ability\, Will can captivate any crowd ! \nGwen Sunkel is an Indianapolis comedian\, emcee\, and character actor. She performs regularly at Helium Comedy Club and The White Rabbit Cabaret where she is a cast member with An Evening With The Authors*. You’ve seen her at Cincinnati Brew Ha-Ha\, Yuckfest\, and Limestone Comedy Festival and on the Vice TV Series ‘Hunters.’ Her album ‘No More Tears’ debuted at #1 on the Apple Music and Amazon charts. Gwen is also contributing writer for AWF Magazine and her comedy has been seen on Buzzfeed and EBaum’s World. DESCRIPTION:The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars (CBAS) assembled in 1996 as the Sunday night house band at The Comet. Since that time the popularity of the band has grown beyond the Comet lounge\, opening for such national acts as Sam Bush\, Blue Highway\, Del McCoury\, Peter Rowan and Ricky Skaggs. \nThe Sunday night Bluegrass sessions at the Comet are informal and known to draw a diverse\, “listening” audience\, from small children to senior citizens. Those attending the shows find each member of the band accomplished singers and multi-instrumentalists in their own right\, with the live combination of these players presenting an even greater sum than its parts\, through amazing musical interplay and high lonesome bluegrass harmony.
